Dinner Time and Berkley's new hidding spot!

Here is a preview of what each meal is like with my two silly girls...there winds up being much more food of them and the floor than in thier tummies! :)

So I turned my back for a second in the kitchen and couldn't find Berkley...this is where I found her...hidding behind the shower curtian... ;)

Snack Time

The Girls enjoyed some goldfish for snack today.  They are having so much fun together. 

No more Hives! :)

So we have gone 48 hours with NO more HIVES! :)  At this point the only thing I can still pinpoint that it might be is some kind of fruit!?!  We are going to stay away from them for a little while.  :(

Berkley is doing wonderful!  So sweet and silly.  She and Caden have had a wonderful day just playing around the house with Mommy today! :)

HIVES?!?!

Poor Berkley has what we think might be hives...it all started when we arrived in Denver to see shelley and sweet little winston.  i took berkley out of her carseat got her inside and noticed she was covered in what i thought at the time was bug bites.  there were tons of little small round mosquito looking bites on the back and sides of her legs.  the whole area was extremely red.  i then realized it was on the other leg as well and that there were other areas that looked like welts.  i was pretty concerned but she didn't seem to be bothered at all other than scratching the areas.  i put hydro-cortisone cream on it.

then when we got home from denver i was checking her out and it seemed to have gotten worse.  it had spread to her butt checks.  i called the triage RN and up to peds where i worked and spoke with a nurse practitioner and pediatrician.  they were pretty puzzled and recommended an oatmeal cool bath.  we did just that and it seemed to get a little better.  through the night we continuously went in to check on her and noticed the spots were coming and going and popping up in different areas...always on the legs though.

this morning when she woke up her legs looked totally fine.  she was her sweet normal self! :)  well...i was at work this afternoon and chris sent me a pic of berkley...she had just woke up from her nap and it was BACK.  but now it was on her right upper arm and right cheek...both of which she had laid on during her nap...i called back two hours later and chris said the spots were GONE!! ????  we are so puzzled as to what is going on.

the only thing i can think of that it might be is fresh fruit salad she has had quite a bit lately with grapes, blueberries, apples and cantaloupe.  i'm so curious what is going on...

during all of this she has remained her sweet, cuddly, silly self! :)  please say an extra little prayer for her! :)

Berkley - 14 months

Berkley is now 14 months old!  She continues to be such a sweet, snugly little girl! :)  Here are a few things she's up to these days...

• an official WALKER!  She walks everywhere she goes...only crawls for a few seconds if she falls or wants to get somewhere really fast
• tries to imitate all kinds of words and sounds. she's really good at imitating an elephant
• clearly says:  bye, dada, uh-oh, thank you, kitty
• loves to blow kisses and give mouth open kisses ;)  she is so snugly especially when she is tired or just wakes up
• has 3 teeth on the bottom and 4+ on the top (front 4 plus a few more trying to come in)
• a very picky eater...will eat pb&j, ham,yogurt, most fruit and still loves cheese, blueberries, cinnamon raisin english muffins
• refuses to be feed! she must feed herself everything
• will play independently for a long while now (around 20 min)
• gets so excited when she sees a dog or cat
• loves playing with her baby dolls and giving them a bottle
• sleeping through the night - wakes between 630 and 7, bedtime around 730
• naps usually from 1p-3p
• will point to her mouth/nose when you ask her where her nose is
• she uses sign language for more and milk
• LOVES playing with shoes and putting them on
• continues to have a runny nose/congestion most of the time :(
• she is very sensitive and gets really sad if you tell her no
• loves to go for a wagon ride!

Gammy visit!

Gammy came to visit us for a few days...we had such a wonderful time.  I held a Matilda Jane Trunk Show on Tuesday evening...the clothes were just precious.  Then today we spent the majority of the time going through the girls clothes...weeding out what was too small for them.  It was bittersweet for sure.  I cannot believe how little Berkley's clothes were when she was born.  It is so hard to believe she was only 5 pounds 13 ounces when we left the hospital.  Thanks so much Gammy for all the help around the house.

Breakfast treat with the Girls!

One of the girls favorite treats is frozen Go-gurt.  It is something they get after their meals if they eat well.  Caden refers to it as "Big Big Yogurt"!  As it needs to be pushed up she says "higher, higher"...its to funny!

Weekend with MiMi and Poppa

Mimi and Poppa were so kind and spent the whole weekend with us Girls while Chris had a boys weekend at the beach! :)  They arrived Friday evening and stayed until Sunday evening.  The girls had so much fun with them.  I had to work all day Saturday and Sunday so they were in charge ;)...They went to visit with Grandmother Miller in Statesville on Saturday, had lunch at Chick-fila, and a trip to Walmart.  On Sunday they went to Target and to the airport to watch the planes coming and going...they spoiled the girls rotten and I know they loved every minute of it!! :)

Happy Anniversary to Us! :)

Chris and I were able to get a way for the weekend of our 6th wedding anniversary.  MiMi and Popa were gracious enough to let us stay at their new place at Topsail Beach...and Gammy and PawPaw were brave enough to keep both girls.  We had a fabulous time.  I found that we spent most of our time talking about the other loves of our lives...Caden and Berkley.  On Saturday we spent the whole day at the beach then went out for a nice dinner at The Beach Shop.  I am so blessed to have found my soulmate and someone that completes me.  I am so grateful for our relationship and the family we are creating with the blessing of God.

Tonight we had breakfast for dinner!! :)  We do not do that very often but it sure is fun when we do.  Chris wasn't feeling well today and this was his request.  After dinner the girls played together in the sunroom...we hope Chris wakes up feeling much better tomorrow.  Berkley has had a runny nose for 4 days now too and Caden started with a runny nose yesterday.

Lately Berkley has become very attatched to her pink and white polka dot binkie and her sweet little duck blankie that MiMi gave her.  She loves to take a corner of either blanket and rub the tip of her nose.  It's so precious!! :)  She also loves giving her babies a bottle.

What a day! :)

Today was a wonderful day! 

I had the honor of spending some good quality time with two best friends today.  While the girls were at school I meet Melissa for lunch at Brixx.  We had a wonderful lunch with even better conversation.  It was so good to catch up with her...I haven't seen her since her wedding in June.  Then I was off to pick up my precious two little girls.  Their teachers said they had a great day today at school too!  We then came home and attempted naps...Berkley went to sleep in no time at all.  Caden on the other hand sat in her room for 1 1/2 hours reading books, playing with her dolls, talking to her animals, looking out the window.  When Berkley woke up I got Caden out of her room and we decided to make it a baby pool/sprinkler kind of day...I talked with my dear friend Sarah and invited her and precious Arianna over to join us in the backyard fun.  After almost 2 hours of play outside we decided to go to Moes for dinner...just us girls.  We had a fantastic time and the girls were so good.  I don't think Arianna made a sound the whole time we where there...she's such a good baby and cute too ;)
