Mommy's 30th Birthday

I cannot believe I am now 30 years old.  I can only wish and hope that they next 30 will be just as wonderful and grand as the first 30!! :)  Thanks Daddy, Caden and Berkley for my new camera!! 

kisses of LOVE!

every afternoon at nap time berkley and i walk caden in to her room.  we tuck her in with her binkies and B...then we walk out and i blow caden a kiss.  so today was no different with one exception... :)  as i turned my back to walk out i notice berkley lifting her hand up to blow caden a kiss.this was the first time she had done that to anyone.   it just melt my heart.  i love watching them interact.  they are really beginning to show each other so much love.

Berkley - 11 months old

It is so hard to believe Berkley is ELEVEN months old! :)  She is growing into such a smart little girl.  Here are a few things she's up to now...

• "cruising" the furniture
• not really wanting to walk quite yet
• sleeping through the night.  bedtime around 7:15pm, wakes around 7:15am.  Morning nap around 9:45am. afternoon nap around 2:15pm.
• 4 bottles of formula a day.  LOVES to drink water from a sippy cup. 
• still LOVES shredded cheese.  now one of her favs is fresh blueberries too.  i think she could eat her weight in both of these foods...she has tried so many new foods now and would much rather eat finger foods than baby food from a spoon.  but she loves the baby food that comes in pouches because she can suck it out herself. 
• she has been teething lately...the top 4 teeth were all coming in at once.  the top two have broken through.  she did a great job during all of this...she wasn't extremely fussy. 
• loves to clap when we sing to her. 
• loves music
• still not a big fan of watching tv.  just no interest at all unless there is music on.
• loves animals - kitty cats and dogs in particular
• loves to be held and LOVES to snuggle!
• will shake her head NO when she doesn't want something.
• has never been a big "talker" but this is picking up.  she loves to scream and shrill.

So today I really needed to vacuum the house so I decided to put Berkley in her crib and ask Caden to "entertain" her.  I started in my bedroom and after I finished I went to check on the girls and this is what I found...

please note...Berkley's crib was empty when I put her in it with the exception of a blanket...

Discovery Place Kids

We were getting a new roof put on today and knew it would be LOUD so we decided to pack up and head to Huntersville.  We meet my friend and her kids at Discovery Place Kids.  It was our first time there and we had a BALL!!  This was one of the coolest kids places I've been to!  It is 2 stories and each area is broken down into different "themes".  Here are a few examples of the rooms: Dollhouse, Vet Clinic, Firetruck, Medic Truck, Bank, Market, Art, Airport, Water, Attic with games, Submarine, etc...it keeps going.  It is very interactive and the kids had a fabulous time.  After our trip to DPK we went to the park at the girls school...because the workers were still at the house.  Enjoy the pics from our busy day!
